Tom Brady explains the phone call that changed his life – New York Post

Tom Brady and wife Gisele Bundchen’s first meeting happened after a blind phone call set up by his friend.

In a new interview with WSJ Magazine, Brady was asked about “the one phone call that changed your life” — to which he explained, “My friend Ed, who called me one day and he said, ‘I have this girl and I think you should call her,’ and I ended up calling her and it ended up being the love of my life, so.”

Upon their first meeting, Bundchen has said that she “knew right away” Brady was the one.

The rest was history as the Bucs quarterback and the supermodel went on to tie the knot in 2009.

The couple have two children together, daughter Vivian, 8, and son Benjamin, 11. Brady also has a 14-year-old son, Jack, with his ex, actress Bridget Moynahan.

Elsewhere in his interview with the WSJ Magazine, Brady discussed his new clothing brand, “Brady” — a line of men’s training and activewear, launching in December.

Bundchen — who was a Fashion Week staple, known for her runway reign — was also quoted in the interview, and admitted that Brady is more immersed in fashion than she is.

“He loves clothes way more than I do. He has great taste and understands and really cares about what people want, what can help them feel good. That’s what fashion is about,” Bundchen said.

Brady went on to gush over his wife’s “incredible taste” in fashion.

“She’s pretty good… In the end, I think she’s very much a hippie. She’d just prefer to wear, like, a simple little dress in 80-degree weather and, you know, just chill out,” he said.
