The next Oculus Quest headset might arrive in September – Engadget

The controllers may have changed, too. The images hint that Oculus may use input similar to the Touch hardware that included the Rift CV1– an advantage for veterans who think the Quest and Rift S controllers were actions backward.
This future Quest likewise wouldnt have the velcro side straps from previously. Its not particular how the system works, but it might include a spring system that saves you from needing to change the fit. Theres no triangular strap opening to help the headset stay in location, either, supporting talk that the new Quest is substantially lighter.
There are still some unknowns. Its not clear what would power the new Quest, although faster refresh rates would determine a more recent platform like Qualcomms XR2. If these images are precise, however, the brand-new variation of Oculus stand-alone headset might have a few welcome upgrades, albeit with a few tradeoffs.
