Major League Soccer is still in the throes of the MLS Is Back competition, but a tentative plan for the league to resume its regular season following the conclusion of its Orlando competition has emerged.
According to numerous sources, the tentative strategy would see the routine season resume on Aug. 22nd, a little less than 2 weeks after the MLS Is Back last is hung on Aug. 11th. Teams would play 6 games in between Aug. 22nd and Sept. 13th. The leagues three Canadian groups– Montreal Impact, Toronto FC and the Vancouver Whitecaps– would remain in Canada and play just versus each other during this phase of the routine season..
Stage Two of the plan would slate 12 games from Sept. 16th through Nov. 8th, bringing each groups overall to 23 routine season video games, including the 2 from the pre-pandemic duration in March and 3 from groups group phase performance in the MLS Is Back tournament.
