Based upon this mornings skirmish, the #Caps lines are exactly what we thought they were going to be. (Today, Boyd is skating for Oshie, who is not practicing.) pic.twitter.com/NEiwwLiY17

” I would probably say we would have taken four goalies,” Reirden stated. We have a player thats injured. Hes a gamer that had a huge impact on our team this first year and is going to have a big impact on our team for many years to come.”
Capitals head coach Todd Reirden held two forwards off the ice, Hershey Bears players Shane Gersich and Garrett Pilon, per The Athletics Tarik El-Bashir. They seem the groups final cuts.
Reirden confessed that if Ilya Samsonov would not have actually gotten injured, the team would have brought 4 goaltenders to Toronto.
The lines will also have an extremely familiar feel from the routine season.
The Capitals final roster will be announced on Sunday, but heres how it will likely look.
It would seem that Gersich and Pilon have been cut as the team gets down to the maximum of 31 gamers for the bubble. #Caps https://t.co/gTe0QOhFlS

” The method I understand the rules at this point is that we have 52 individuals that have been submitted and the NHL will release that tomorrow night,” Reirden stated after practice.
The Washington Capitals practiced for the last time on Saturday prior to taking off for the bubble in Toronto.
At the end of practice, Reirden collected the players together on the ice to make a statement.

” I would most likely state we would have taken four goalies,” Reirden stated. “I feel really good about Pheonix Copley and I feel actually great about Vitek Vanecek. We have a player thats hurt. Hes a gamer that had a huge impact on our group this first year and is going to have a huge effect on our group for many years to come.”
