Brett Favre Golfs With President Trump, Kaepernick a Flashpoint? – TMZ

President Trumps newest visitor on the golf course is somebody many people probably didnt anticipate to see … one Brett Favre, who just recently voiced appreciation for Colin Kaepernick.
The former QB and 45 struck the links Saturday, and even positioned for a photo together that the White House later tossed up online. Theyre both in playing golf clothing, and appear quite cozy standing next to one another, with DT flashing the thumbs up and Brett with his arm on the Prezs back.
Up till now, we had not heard much from BF on his political leanings, especially as it relates to Trump. Not that playing golf with the guy suggests anything either, aside from the truth that theyre friendly. Still, though its intriguing– particularly when you bring Kap into the equation.

Up up until now, we hadnt heard much from BF on his political leanings, particularly as it pertains to Trump. Consisting of Pat Tillmans name in the interview on Colin Kaepernick was not a contrast of the 2, but a recognition that they both sidelined their football dreams in pursuit of a cause.– Brett Favre (@BrettFavre) June 22, 2020

With that in mind, you got ta marvel if CK was raised during this trip. Obviously, Trump has vocally slammed Kaepernick in the past, along with any other players who take a knee during the National Anthem– however he hasnt been so down on the man nowadays.
Trump stated Kap should most likely get a second possibility in the league … if he deserves it. If thats where he is now on the concern– possibly the subject wasnt as polarizing as you might think.

Keep in mind, Brett informed TMZ Sports that he thought about Kaepernick in the very same vein as Pat Tillman– the previous NFL gamer who got in the armed services back in the 2000s, and then later died while at war … a hero, in other words. Brett appeared to compare Kap to Pat.
He later clarified his remarks, saying they werent totally alike– obviously, Pat made the ultimate sacrifice with his life– but he noted they both sidelined their football careers for a cause bigger than themselves. Still, the sentiment was basically the same.
