A day after prototypes and source code for SNES video games were spilled online, leakers have actually reportedly moved onto N64 titles.
Possibly the emphasize is an expected early build of Super Mario 64 – titled, “Ultra 64 Mario Brothers”. It has files referencing Luigi and theres been no time lost getting them up and running in-game. In an interview dating back to 1996, Shigeru Miyamoto validated Luigi was originally planned for Super Mario 64 as a 2nd playable character (thanks, VGC).
While this doesnt excite me as much as others, many are thrilled that “L IS Real” and Luigi remains in Mario 64s beta filed, however put into sectors, and theyve been slowly reconstructing him. pic.twitter.com/LrXUiRiFv9— AestheticGamer aka Dusk Golem (@AestheticGamer1) July 26, 2020
Theres also the video games original art work, box art, character designs and more:

If that wasnt already exciting enough, the data leak likewise supposedly includes source code and apply for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Some referrals to the expansion “Ura Zelda” have also apparently been uncovered. It never saw the light of day, because of the failure of the 64DD peripheral (by means of Zelda fandom). Here are a few of the shots that have emerged so far:

Amongst the OoT stuff, 2 scenes prefixed “Z2” which Majoras Mask often has as a prefix on its internal names; these are Z2_ReDead space 0 and Z2_DD_IKE space 0, the previous has 14 rooms, the latter 6dunno why the very first is simply doorframes and a rectangular shape tho, audience glitch? pic.twitter.com/16Se0ZlUki— [e-mail secured] がんばらない (@xdanieldzd) July 25, 2020

Theres an original uncompressed noise file for the well-known Star Fox 64 line, too:

If that wasnt already interesting enough, the information leak also allegedly consists of source code and files for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. がんばらない (@xdanieldzd) July 25, 2020

In addition to this, the leakage is thought to contain source code information for other Nintendo 64 games like Mario Kart 64, Wave Race 64, Yoshis Story, The Legend of Zelda: Majoras Mask, Dr. Mario 64, and even the initial Animal Crossing (Animal Forest).
Its all obviously connected to the leak we initially reported on in May this year, which contained source code for the Wii, GameCube, a Pokémon game, the iQue, and far more. To see all the SNES-related leaks, see our previous post.
If we hear or see anything else interesting about this leakage, well be sure to let you understand.
Perhaps the emphasize is an expected early develop of Super Mario 64 – titled, “Ultra 64 Mario Brothers”. In an interview dating back to 1996, Shigeru Miyamoto confirmed Luigi was initially prepared for Super Mario 64 as a 2nd playable character (thanks, VGC).
