The Warriors sent first-round draft pick Moses Moody down to the G League on Friday, hoping to get the rookie some additional minutes after seeing limited action over his first week and change in the NBA.
Moody started and played 29 minutes for the Santa Cruz Warriors in their first preseason game against Ciudad De Mexico Capitanes, finishing with 17 points, four assists and three steals in the 107-96 loss.
Six turnovers is a bit of a concern, especially after the Warriors committed 22 as a team Thursday in their first loss of the season to the Memphis Grizzlies. However, Moody did deliver a nice no-look bounce pass for an and-one on this play to L.J. Figueroa.
Moody went 3-for-7 from behind the arc in the contest, including this shot off the assist from former Warrior Jordan Bell.

Fellow 2021 first-round draft pick Jonathan Kuminga made the trip down from San Francisco to watch Moody play.
Steve Kerr told reporters after practice Friday that Moody would be returning to the Warriors for Saturday’s game against the Oklahoma City Thunder after Friday’s game in Santa Cruz.
Moody’s 29 minutes in the G League are nearly triple the minutes he saw through the Warriors’ first five games, and the organization likely appreciates the chance to get the 19-year-old some extended action.
We will see if he gets more time on Saturday night against a Thunder team that is just 1-4 on the season.
