Bellator 270 goes down today (Fri., Nov. 5, 2021) inside 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland, airing exclusively on SHOWTIME (watch it here). Headlining the event will be a Lightweight title fight for the vacant strap as Patricky Freire battles Peter Queally for the second time this year. In the co-main event, James Gallagher will battle Patchy Mix in Bantamweight action.
Bellator 270’s main card will air on Showtime at 5 p.m. ET. MMAmania.com will deliver results for the full card and comprehensive play-by-play for the televised portion of Bellator 270 below.

Peter Queally vs. Patricky “Pitbull” Freire
Round 1: Overhand right from Freire. Queally a little tentative to start things off here, or cautious. Stiff right hand from Freire. Two heavy shots to the body from Freire. Big leg kick from Queally. Freire returns fire with the same attack. Kick to the body from Queally. Four shots from Freire are blocked, but he lands a knee to the midsection. Left hand lands for Freire. Queally yet to pop off much offense here. Combination from Freire, right hand to the body. Queally didn’t do much of anything to open things up and this was a clear round for Freire. 10-9 Freire
Round 2: There is a break in action right away due to an eye poke. Freire is really struggling to see. This is bad. Hopefully it doesn’t end this way. Action resumes after over five minutes. Freire comes out aggressive and starts digging at the body. He lands a huge right hand and he drops Queally! He is back up but Freire lunges in with more bombs. Up against the cage and Freire is relentless with his onslaught. The referee has no choice but to put an end to the fight. WOW! What a turn of events.
Final result: Freire def. Queally via second round TKO
James Gallagher vs. Patrick Mix
Round 1: Kick to the body from Mix. Gallagher goes in for the takedown and he picks Mix up. Mix looking for a guillotine. They go down to the canvas and Mix still has the guillotine in. Gallagher manages to escape and he now has the guillotine. Mix tries to get out of it but Gallagher has a good grip. Mix is out of danger and is in half guard. Action up against the cage, Gallagher in a seated position. Mix not doing much here. Gallagher gets back up to his feet. Big right hand from Gallagher. Lazy high kick from Gallagher. One-two from Gallagher. Gallagher shoots in for a takedown and he gets it but Mix has a guillotine as the round comes to an end. Close round. 10-9 Mix
Round 2: Inside leg kick from Mix. Low blow from Gallagher. Break in action. Action resumes and Gallagher lands a stiff right hand. Mix returns fire. Flying knee from Gallagher. Gallagher having trouble trying to close the distance. Mix goes in for a takedown and Gallagher has a guillotine. It looks tight. Mix is in trouble here. He pops out. Now in half guard. Mix is landing some shots to the rib cage. Gallagher trying to wall walk. Mix is the much bigger man here, using the weight to his advantage to lay on top of his foe. Mix pass and he is looking for the crucifix. Gallagher is in a real awkward position as the round comes to an end. 10-9 Mix
Round 3: Gallagher needs a finish here. Big right hand misses for Gallagher. Gallagher goes in for the takedown and Mix has a guillotine. It’s tight! and Gallagher is forced to tap. Wow!
Final result: Mix def. Gallagher via third round guillotine
Daniel Weichel vs. Pedro Carvalho
Round 1: Weichel lands a quick right hand. High kick from Carvalho is partially blocked. Weichel grabs a low kick attack from Carlvaho and drags him down to the mat. He takes his back and looking for a rear-naked choke. Carvalho looking to turn into Weichel. He is almsot out of it but Weichel isn’t letting go. Back to their feet and Carvalho is out of danger for now. High kick from Carvalho and he goes in for a takedown. Nice left hand by Carvalho, and then a right. Weichel fires back with a kick to the body and then big right hand that drops Carvalho. He takes his back and once again hunting for the rear-naked choke. Carvalho reverses and he is now in guard and trying to drop down some punishment. Weichel tries to throw up a triangle and Carvalho is relentless with his attack buy Weichel will survive. 10-9 Weichel.
Round 2: Left hand from Weichel and he answers with a big right hand that drops Carvalho. Weichel pounces but it seems Carvalho has recovered. Weichel in half guard, trying to mount. He takes his back and looking for a rear-naked choke again. Pedro manages to reverse it and he pushes Weichel up against the cage. Weichel eats a right a hand, good enough to make him shoot in for the takedown. Action up against the cage. They exchange knees to the midsection. They separate and Carvalho tags Weichel with a huge right hand and they are exchanging bombs. Weichel looked dazed for a bit but it looks like he is back. Carvalho isn’t letting up and he’s unloading big shots, forcing Weichel to retreat.
Round 3: They exchange shots for a bit before Carvalho lands another takedown and is now in guard. Weichel breathing heavy as he eats a couple of shots from Carvalho. Weichel is trying to pop off some offense from the bottom position, but it isn’t affecting Carvalho, at all. Weichel trying to create some space and he does enough to get back up. Weichel with a kick to the body and Carvalho with a left hook. Weichel is exhausted but he is still going forward with a weak takedown attempt. Carvalho had a guillotine but he didn’t take it. Weichel reverses position and pushes Carvalho up against the cage. Weichel has Carvalho’s neck but he is loose now. Weichel pushes Carvalho up against the cage and lands a one-two. Flying knee from Weichel and a spinning kick as the rounds comes to an end. I just don’t think it will be enough. 10-9 Carvalho
Final result: Carvalho def. Weichel via unanimous decision
Ilias Bulaid vs. Georges Sasu
Round 1: SHOWTIME had technical difficulties, so we will pick up the action in round two.
Round 2: Sasu pushes Bulaid up against the fence after eating a few good shots. They separate. They are starting to let their hands fly and Sasu changes levels to score a takedown. Sasu looking for a rear-naked choke. Bulaid defending well. They separate and Bulaid lands a low kick on the way out. Front kick to the midsection from Sasu. Body shot from Bulaid lands. Nice hook from Sasu and Bulaid returns fire with a low kick. Spinning kick attack from Bulaid. Bulaid lands a clean left hand. Sasu with a jab. One-two from Sasu. Action up against the cage for a bit. Bulaid with a shot to the body. Nice straight right from Sasu and then a high kick. 10-9 Bulaid
Round 3: Sasu lands a takedown early. In half guard. Both men look exhausted. Sasu starts unloading shots as Bulaid is desperately trying to get back to his feet. Action resumes on the feet and Sasu is looking for another takedown but Bulaid is defending well. They separate and Bulaid is starting to let his hands go but Sasu once again ties up for a takedown attempt. Bulaid now looking for a kimura and Sasu takes him down. Not a ton of action in this round. Sasu trying to soften Bulaid up to get a rear-naked choke but time is against him. They separate. Bulaid lets go of a big right hand but it catches nothing but air. 10-9 Sasu
Final result: Bulaid def. Sasu via split decision
