Ohio State true freshman quarterback Quinn Ewers has been added to the team’s travel roster for this weekend’s game against Nebraska. He’s in Lincoln with the team for Saturday’s game against Nebraska.
Joey Kaufman of The Columbus Dispatch reported the news on Friday.
The addition of Ewers comes after Jack Miller III was suspended because of an OVI arrest this week. He did not travel with the team two weeks ago to Indiana but did make the trip to Rutgers.
Ewers will be behind starting quarterback CJ Stroud and backup Kyle McCord. Miller was serving as the third-string quarterback for the Buckeyes through the first half of the season.
Ohio State is looking to improve to 8-1 on the season. The Buckeyes are coming off a 33-24 victory over Penn State last weekend in Columbus. They still have games against Purdue, Michigan State and Michigan ahead.
Ewers was the top-ranked prospect in the 2022 recruiting class but opted to leave high school a year early to join the Ohio State program.
