Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James will return on the road against the Boston Celtics on Friday night, league sources told Yahoo Sports.
James, 36, has been sidelined since Nov. 2 due to an abdominal strain. The four-time league MVP missed the last eight games; the team went 3-5 in that span.
The Lakers struggled early on to find continuity, leading to a disappointing 8-8 record.
Anthony Davis has been vocal in recent days about the team’s lack of championship-spirited play.
James appeared in six games this season, averaging 24.8 points, 5.5 rebounds and seven assists.
