Jabari Ellis was on the South Carolina roster last year when Mike Bobo was the Gamecocks’ offensive coordinator, and later interim head coach.
So while the Gamecocks deflected any personal feelings leading up to Saturday’s game against Auburn. But after the game, a 21-17 Gamecocks win, Ellis posted a GIF of Bobo from an Auburn press conference. Ellis is a super senior at South Carolina, and is in his sixth season in college. He’s no stranger to trolling, as he nicknamed a football “Little Chomp” after the Florida upset.
The Gamecocks, while not publicly, could surely be happy to serve a bit of revenge to Bobo after he initially joined the Shane Beamer staff, and then reversed course, and left for the same position at Auburn. He had already signed on and agreed to join Beamer’s staff and the contract was approved by the Board of Trustees.
When Beamer discussed Bobo’s departure in January, he said, “As the head football coach at South Carolina, my job is to do what I feel is best for the University of South Carolina football program today and going forward in the future, wish him well. Have nothing but — we wish him well.”
