This feature is different from the Save Data Cloud functionality used for select Nintendo Switch games. According to Nintendo, “a function specific to Animal Crossing: New Horizons to move users and save information to another system is prepared for later on this year” and details will be announced in the future.
Wave 2 is also bringing dreams to Animal Crossing. Youll be carried to a dreamland where youll satisfy Luna when you go to sleep in the video game. With her help, you can check out other islands in your dreams and enable others to visit your island in their dreams.
Lastly, Wave 2 is adding another summer season activity: weekly fireworks. The shows will begin at 7PM local time every Sunday through August. Like Wave 1, which presented swimming, Wave 2 is including a summer season activity that you may be doing less of since of the pandemic. Enjoying them in Animal Crossing may provide some alleviation if you havent made it to many fireworks shows this year.
You can try to find these changes beginning July 30th. According to Nintendo, another complimentary update will arrive this fall.
