Miamis path to a Top 15 recruiting class in 2022 – 247Sports

Mario Cristobal finished strong on the recruiting trail for the Miami Hurricanes in less than two weeks on the job.

During the Early Signing Period, which ran Wednesday through Friday, Cristobal added Top 100 four-star prospects, DE Nyjalik Kelly and TE Jaleel Skinner, while also adding late bloomer, CB Jaden Harris, to the class.

As things stand at the end of the Early Signing Period, Miami’s 2022 class runs nine players deep and ranks No. 49 overall in the country.

While the class lacks quantity, it is full of quality with UM’s average class ranking checking in at 92.12, which ranks best in the ACC.

Miami signed eight players that are ranked four-star prospects. UM signed two players that rank inside the Top 100 according to the industry generated 247Sports Composite and six players that rank inside the Top247.

With that being said, however, there is still plenty more work to be done for Cristobal and UM as the Hurricanes look to close strong between now and the end of the traditional signing day in early February.
