INGLEWOOD — The Rams are going to play without tight end Tyler Higbee, right tackle Rob Havenstein and safety Jordan Fuller because of COVID-19 issues when they face the Seattle Seahawks on Tuesday at SoFi Stadium.
They were the three starting players among nine from the Rams’ active roster who were on the NFL’s COVID-19 reserve list.
The deadline was noon for players on the list to record the negative tests required to be activated for the 4 p.m. game. Havenstein has been on the list for nine days, Fuller seven days and Higbee four days.
The Rams announced Tuesday morning that they had activated starting linebacker Von Miller and backup linebacker and special teams player Christian Rozeboom, each after five days on the COVID list.
The Rams had as many as 29 members of their 53-man roster and practice squad on the list at one point last week.
They were missing four starters – Higbee, Havenstein, running back Darrell Henderson and cornerback Jalen Ramsey – as well as key reserve cornerback Dont’e Deayon because of positive COVID tests when they beat the Arizona Cardinals on Dec. 13.
MENU CHANGES
For fans, one big difference inside SoFi Stadium on Tuesday was that the food stands were serving only pizza, hot dogs and snacks.
The Rams said that’s a result of staffing shortages caused by the postponement from Sunday to Tuesday.
But food trucks were added outside the stadium, and fans were allowed to bring in food in clear bags.
