ORCHARD PARK, N.Y.– The Buffalo Bills sent their novices home from the teams facility Thursday as a reaction to 5 positive coronavirus tests this week, the group told ESPN in a statement.
A league source told ESPN that 2 gamers, including one novice, evaluated favorable for COVID-19 on Thursday, and the team decided to perform the days conferences virtually.
The news was initially reported by NFL Network.
Under the NFLs training school mandate, gamers should sign up three negative tests in a five-day span in order to enter the center. Teams are not needed to shut down their center for a positive test, the Bills chose to minimize danger by sending gamers home for the day.
2 Related” As we were notified by medical experts as training school opened, we expected to have positive tests for COVID,” the group said in a declaration to ESPN. “With 5 because the beginning of the testing duration last Tuesday, we chose to take a disciplined, preventative and proactive approach to hopefully remove additional cases within our group.”
The Bills rookies first reported on July 21 to begin testing. The novice who tested positive Thursday did so after signing up 3 unfavorable tests, a league source said.
If he remains asymptomatic during that period, a league source stated the aforementioned novice is asymptomatic; a player who evaluates positive can be evaluated once again after five days.
Undrafted rookie cornerback Ike Brown was the first Bills player to be put on the teams reserve/COVID -19 list on Monday, followed by protective take on Vincent Taylor and large receiver Duke Williams on Wednesday.
