Buckeyes bounce back with hard fought 68-57 road win at rival Michigan – 247Sports

* Poll Rankings: Ohio State, 16th in Associated Press poll, 16th in USA Today coaches poll; Michigan, unranked.

* Ohio State-Michigan Series: The Ohio State-Michigan men’s basketball series dates back to 1909. Excluding games vacated by NCAA sanctions on both sides, Ohio State now leads the all-time series at 101-79. Ohio State holds a lead of 57-28 in Columbus. Michigan leads 48-39 in Ann Arbor. OSU has a 5-2 edge on neutral courts.

Michigan has played its home games at the Crisler Center, formerly known as Crisler Arena, since the 1967-68 season. OSU is now 20-28 all-time against Michigan in games played there.

UM’s Juwan Howard is 1-4 against OSU as a head coach. OSU’s Chris Holtmann is 5-4 vs. Michigan. That is 5-3 while at Ohio State and 0-1 in his time Gardner-Webb.

The teams will be rematched on March 6 at Value City Arena.

* Ohio State improved to 4-5 on the road this season. The previous wins were at Penn State, Nebraska and Minnesota. The losses were at Xavier, Indiana, Wisconsin, Purdue and Rutgers.

* Next On The Docket: Ohio State returns home to host Minnesota on Tuesday night (8:30 p.m., Big Ten Network). The Golden Gophers are 11-10 overall and 2-10 in Big Ten play going into a game against Penn State Saturday night. Ohio State took a 75-64 win at Minnesota on Jan. 27.

That will start the eight-game stretch to end the season with six of those games at Value City Arena. On Friday, the Big Ten announced some schedule changes to accommodate the rescheduling of the Iowa game. Here is what OSU’s remaining games after the Minnesota game will look like:
