Though they called off their engagement earlier this month, it seems that not all is lost when it comes to Aaron Rodgers and Shailene Woodley’s relationship.
A source speaking with US Weekly said that the Green Bay Packers quarterback, 38, and the actress, 30, are ‘talking things through and trying to keep things private,’ at the moment.
The insider went on to say that the couple’s ‘love for each other never went away’ and that they are open to possibly reconciling.
Rekindling the spark? Aaron Rodgers and Shailene Woodley are reportedly ‘talking things through’ and open to the idea of a reconciliation after calling off their engagement last month
‘Now that Aaron is in [the] off season, he has more downtime and can focus more on a relationship,’ the source stated.
‘Shailene is understanding and open — she hasn’t shut the door completely or [she] would’ve never agreed to meet up with him,’ the insider said, possibly referring to the couple being spotted at Erewhon Market in Los Angeles on Tuesday.
The insider also said that it’s up to the couple to figure out which way their relationship will go.
‘No one, including them, knows what the future holds — they can possibly get back together or they can decide they aren’t meant to be. That’s up to them to figure out.’

The couple started dating in mid-2020, with Aaron referring to Shailene as his fiancée in February 2021.
Almost exactly a year later, reports swirled that the couple called off their engagement – with many pointing to a photo of the Big Little Lies star without her engagement ring.
‘It was an amicable split; it just wasn’t working,’ a source told People at the time. ‘They’re very different people with busy careers and there were obstacles that they couldn’t surmount.’

But on Monday, Rodgers thanked Woodley in an Instagram post, sharing photos from his past year, including one of the couple snuggled up on a couch.
‘Thanks for letting me chase after you the first couple months after we met, and finally letting me catch up to you and be a part of your life,’ he wrote to Woodley in the captions.
‘Thanks for always having my back, for the incredible kindness you show me and everyone you meet, and for showing me what unconditional love looks like, I love you and am grateful for you,’ he added.
The NFL star also publicly apologized to Shailene on Tuesday for the negativity she encountered because he lied about his COVID vaccination status.
Speaking to former Indiana Colts punter Pat McAfee on his YouTube show, Rodgers said he regretted pulling his loved ones into his anti-vaccination scandal.
‘I am very sorry to those people — Shai, and my loved ones, and my agents,’ he said during the appearance.
