Top-seeded Kansas potentially could face a slew of hot teams in the West Region on its quest for its first national championship since 2008: Iowa won the Big Ten tournament, Creighton battled Villanova for the Big East tournament crown, Providence, Auburn and Wisconsin won at least shares of their regular-season titles.
The Jayhawks haven’t been a No. 1 seed since 2018 when they most recently played in the Final Four. They could face a second-round game against either No. 9 Creighton or No. 8 San Diego State and could face No. 5 Iowa or No. 4 Providence in a 16 showdown.
