The first weekend of the 2022 NCAA Tournament continues Friday with another loaded slate of first-round action as 32 teams battle it out across 16 games with hopes of advancing to the second round. No. 7 seed Ohio State defeated No. 10 seed Loyola-Chicago 54-41 to get the day started and the action will go deep into the evening hours amid a captivating Friday night window.
Friday’s slate also brings the March Madness debut for No. 2 seed Duke and coach Mike Krzyzewski, whose career is one loss — or six victories — away from conclusion. The legendary college basketball figure will lead his Blue Devils team against No. 15 seed Cal State Fullerton at 7:10 p.m. on CBS.
Then, in the late-night window come a few highly-anticipated matchups, beginning with No. 5 seed Houston taking on No. 12 seed UAB. Tipping soon after, at 9:40 p.m., No. 10 seed Davidson and leading scorer Foster Loyer will take on his former team as the Wildcats play No. 10 seed Michigan State. The winner of that game will likely advance to play Duke.
