Street Fighters Ryu and Chun-Li are finally crossing over into Mega Man X DiVE next week – EventHubs

The Mega Man and Street Fighter franchises are among Capcom’s most iconic and have been connected for decades through moves and other references though it’s a bit more rare to see the characters from both standing side-by-side.

NebulaJoy and Capcom have finally confirmed that the Street Fighter 5 collaboration is officially coming to Mega Man X DiVE next week in the West, which will make Ryu and Chun-Li playable characters.

This crossover of world warriors and Reploids previously launched in Japan and Asian territories last year, but this will be the first opportunity to do some street fighting in the mobile game in North America and Europe.

Trading in his fists for guns from the future, Ryu can run around the platforming levels blasting foes while also busting out his character-specific abilities of Denjin Renki and Shinku Hadoken.

Chun-Li, on the other hand, doesn’t get access to her Kikoken, but she can still stomp the robot foes with her Spinning Bird Kick and Lightning Legs.

Previously shown off trailers have also confirmed that Ryu’s signature Suzaku Castle stage will be featured on Street Fighter-themed stages where Mets can be seen dressed as Blanka.

For those looking for the ultimate challenge, Akuma is included in the crossover as well as a special boss fight to earn more gear.

The big collaboration event is scheduled to drop next Wednesday, May 11, in the West.
