Astros and As brawl after Ramón Laureano gets hit twice and charges Houston dugout – Yahoo Sports

Sundays game between the Houston Astros and Oakland Athletics became a melee when As outfielder Ramón Laureano charged Houstons dugout after being struck two times by Astros pitchers.
Laureano was hit in the seventh inning, took exception that it happened again, jawed a bit with the Houston dugout then charged in when prompted by Astros striking coach Alex Cintrón.

After the video game, As supervisor Bob Melvin laid more of the blame on the Astros, though didnt call Cintrón specifically:

While this does not, on its face, have anything to do with the Astros unfaithful scandal, its lingering in the air before these two groups as they fulfilled for the very first time in 2020. As pitcher Mike Fiers, a former Astro, blew the whistle on Houstons unfaithful plan. This is the 2nd time benches have cleared in this young season throughout an Astros video game. Benches cleared in the July 28 video game in between the Astros and Dodgers when Joe Kelly hit Alex Bregman and then teased Carlos Correa.

MLB will likely come down hard on Laureano and Cintrón. In a coronavirus-plagued 2020 season where social distancing is essential to prevent further outbreaks, the league is even less keen on benches-clearing circumstances like this one.
