It seems like its been a real minute since weve seen Rowan Wick and Jeremy Jeffress, each of whom were rather outstanding. Wick went 1.1 innings, setting out 3. And Jeffress closed the game out, even when the lead grew to five runs (Craig Kimbrel was also warming).
Offensively, the night really looked like last night in a lot of methods: a lot of grinding, terrific at bats early, but not a lot to reveal for it. A great deal of runners left on base in big spots. Runs here and there, and prior to you know it, the run total by the end of the game is quite strong. Once again a tip that the Indians pitching staff had not given up more than 4 in a video game ALL YEAR till this series with the Cubs, who scored seven each night.
The Cubs scored off of every pitcher the Indians highlighted tonight. Thats enjoyable.

Hey, its just 2 video games, however thats a sweep! The Cubs sure do take pleasure in playing in Cleveland.
The Cubs are now 12-3. I understand this year is unusual and whatever … but good Lord. That is so freaking amazing.
Kyle Hendricks is basically constantly good at managing contact, however he was PARTICULARLY good tonight, with a typical exit velocity of just 81.9 miles per hour. Suffice to state, your eyes werent tricking you: Hendricks really was getting all sort of shabby contact. 13 whiffs out of 90 pitches and no strolls on the night.
