A walk-on who earned a scholarship for his fourth season and played H-back and fullback at Auburn, Nigh began nine video games in 2019, when he caught 2 passes for 33 backyards and had a 2-yard run.
The Steelers waived Nigh to clear a roster area for running back Jaylen Samuels, who came off reserve/COVID -19 after an 11-day stay. Samuels has 431 hurrying backyards and 73 receptions over the past two seasons for Pittsburgh.
In spite of kipping down a 4.89-second 40-yard dash at 291 pounds throughout the NFL Scouting Combine, Coe went undrafted and signed with New England on May 5.
The Patriots waived Coe as they announced the finalizing of running back Lamar Miller. Miller is a two-time 1,000-yard rusher and a Pro Bowl choice in 2018 who missed the 2019 season after sustaining a knee injury in a Houston Texans preseason video game.
