Samsung confirms which devices will get 3 major Android updates, here’s the full list – 9to5Google

During its Galaxy Note 20 announcement earlier this month, Samsung tossed in the expose that it would begin supporting its gadgets for 3 years, matching the policy of Googles Pixel lineup. Now, Samsung has actually validated the full list of devices that will get 3 significant Android updates in their lifetimes.

Samsungs post is also quite telling on how this applies moving forward. The Galaxy S, Galaxy Note, Galaxy Z, and Galaxy Tab S lineups will see this policy as standard for all gadgets moving forward. Meanwhile, the Galaxy A lineup will just see the policy on choose devices.

For the Galaxy S line, the S10 and S20 series will both get these updates. The list then broadens to Samsungs latest Galaxy A devices, but just some of the higher-end designs. The Galaxy Tab lineup gets some love with the Tab S6 and S7.

Likewise of note, Samsung verifies that the Galaxy S20 series will be the first in its lineup to get Android 11.
