The loss to Vera will unquestionably slow the momentum of the oft-hyped “Sugar Show” regardless of whether OMalley is sidelined with an incapacitating injury. In either case, previous UFC bantamweight champ Henry Cejudo remains not impressed.
The good news for OMalley is nothing was broken.
” X-ray on his ankle/lower leg came back fine,” a source informed Ariel Helwani. “No fractures but MRI is needed (as soon as swelling goes down) to look for ligament and tendon tears. They will scan knee too. Cant have a MRI up until swelling subsides.”
OMalley suffered a similar injury back in 2018.
Simply in case anybody still cares what “Triple C” thinks.
The future of UFC bantamweight prospect Sean OMalley stays unclear following his technical knockout loss to Marlon Vera at UFC 252 last weekend in Las Vegas, a bout that saw “Sugar” suffer an obvious leg injury that may (or might not) have actually contributed to his in-cage demise.
