Report: Warriors dont add anyone during transaction window – Comcast SportsNet Bay Area

The Warriors enter the 2020-21 NBA season with starters locked in at point player, shooting guard, small forward and power forward.

But what about center?

Kevon Looney and Marquese Chriss have shown they can play constant minutes at the position, but there is an NBA draft prospect who might be a better long-lasting suitable for the Warriors.

Memphis Tigers center James Wiseman earlier was projected as the No. 1 prospect in the 2020 NBA Draft, but now hes fallen back a few other gamers.

Could Wiseman be a match for the Warriors if they hang on to their top-5 draft select?

With Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Andrew Wiggins and Green making up four-fifths of the Warriors starting lineup, the 7-foot-1, 235-pound Wiseman might be the missing piece.

” So with our speed and rate, the way we play, I think he would certainly be a great add if thats case, but I do not really understand what pick were going to get or what choice hes going to go. You never understand how the draft is going to go and how the cards might fall.”

But he includes enigma. Wisemans college profession lasted three video games after he was ruled ineligible due to the fact that the NCAA discovered that Memphis coach Penny Hardaway provided money to help Wisemans household move from Nashville to Memphis in 2017.

In NBC Sports Bay Areas Mock Draft 10.0, Insider James Ham has the Warriors choosing Iowa State guard Tyrese Haliburton at No. 5 and the Minnesota Timberwolves choosing Wiseman with the No. 6 pick.

With the draft pushed back until Oct. 16, the Warriors have a lot of time to make a decision on what to do with their choice. But it seems like Wiseman has the Draymond Stamp of Approval.

The Warriors have spoken with Wiseman on a Zoom call, The Athletics Anthony Slater reported earlier this month, so we understand hes on their radar.

Draymond Green thinks so, though he admitted on ESPNs “Jalen and Jacoby” that he hasnt seen a great deal of Wiseman– in fairness none of us have.

Wiseman was reinstated, however instead of going back to Memphis, he decided to withdraw from school and prepare for the NBA draft. In those 3 video games, Wiseman averaged 19.7 points, 10.7 rebounds and 3.0 blocks in 23.0 minutes.
