After 2 fast outs, a dribbler went for a hit, then Jeffress walked the next 2 batters to pack the bases for Yoan Moncada, who popped one up to the third base side and David Bote might not make the catch up against the screen (he should have had it). DEMONS EXERCISED, RIGHT?!?
The Cubs had a great chance opportunity a decent inning in the 4th, with men on third 2nd second 3rd one out. Contreras was tossed out attempting to take 2nd, so the inning was over without the Cubs even having a possibility to score a run.
Thanks to White Sox errors, the Cubs filled the bases with no one out in the 5th. It simply has to be demoralizing at this point with the bases loaded.

Yu Darvish was simply wonderful as soon as again, and the Cubs dont have a possibility in this one if he isnt. Thinking about how on fire the White Sox have actually been for over a week now, his performance was all the more remarkable.

Craig Kimbrel got the ball in the 8th inning to protect the lead, and looked respectable, but was pulled after a couple strikeouts and a couple walks. Jeremy Jeffress ended up the frame and came back out for the 9th. Intriguing. I guess Kimbrel truly isnt back to being the closer.
