Apple has actually settled a class action lawsuit over a supposed design problem in its Powerbeats 2 that some customers said caused the sports earphones to stop holding a charge after very little usage. As part of the settlement, Apple accepted pay $9.75 million, which will be divided in between class members after lawyers charges and other expenses.
Details of the settlement were sent out to Powerbeats 2 owners on Thursday, according to MacRumors. The settlement comes from a suit submitted by back in 2017 that called the earphones “inferior” and implicated Apple of falsely advertising the Powerbeats 2 as “built to withstand.”
