Hall of Fame pitcher Tom Seaver passed away Monday, August 31, his household validated to the National Baseball Hall of Fame, adding that he “passed in harmony in his sleep of problems of Lewy body dementia and COVID-19.” He was 75.
” We are heartbroken to share that our precious spouse and father has died,” Seavers spouse, Nancy, and children, Anne and Sarah, said in a statement. “We send our love out to his fans, as we grieve his loss with you.”
As quickly as news broke of the long time big leaguers death, an outpouring of support originated from famous figures in and around baseball to grieve the loss of the gamer who played his college baseball at USC, and had MLB stops with the Mets, Reds, White Sox and Red Sox.
