Washington will place Reuben Foster on injured reserve – NBC Sports – NFL

Foster tore an ACL in May 2019. JP Finlay of NBC Sports Washington adds that Foster “just hasnt been right, and the strength of this game is explosive athleticism.”

John Keim of ESPN.com reports that Washington will position Foster on hurt reserve. Doing so prior to Monday will end Fosters season, avoiding any possible return in 2020.

The comeback story of Washington quarterback Alex Smith likely will continue. The resurgence story of Washington linebacker Reuben Foster will not.

A first-round choice in 2017, the 49ers cut Foster during the 2018 season after the most recent accusation of domestic violence was made against him. (Charges later on were dropped.) Washington declares Foster on waivers. He has never ever in fact played in a game for the group.
