The Cubs Turned Three Mighty Purdy Double-Plays in Beating the Cardinals (VIDEO) – bleachernation.com

There is little as frustrating on the one side, and as wonderful on the other side, as a well-timed and beautifully-executed double-play.

So it was three times tonight for the Cubs in their 5-1 win over the Cardinals. Each of their double-plays was very good, with Kris Bryant playing the part of second baseman for one (with a glove flip), Jason Kipnis with a long-distanced backhand flip for another, and Nico Hoerner, Javy Báez, and Anthony Rizzo integrating for one at an enough range that it mustve been impossible.
