Indiana Pacers star Victor Oladipo has chosen to sit out the resumed 2019-20 NBA season, informing The Athletic on Friday he cant get his mind “to being totally comfortable” in playing.
With all the variables, from how I have to develop my 5-on-5 workload back up, to the increased threat of a soft tissue injury which could postpone my rehab, and the unidentified precise set up of the bubble, I simply cant get my mind to being totally comfy in playing. I have to be wise and this decision hasnt been easy, but I really think continuing on the course Im on and getting fully healthy for the 2020-21 season is the ideal decision for me.”
Oladipo has one year left on his four-year, $84 million handle the Pacers.
