West Virginia has actually suspended 11 football gamers for Saturdays season opener versus Eastern Kentucky.
The other suspended players are backup inside receiver Isaiah Esdale, backup inside receiver Zack Dobson, backup offensive linemen Tairiq Stewart and Zach Davis, and backup long-snapper J.P. Hadley
The suspensions are not coronavirus-related. All are one-game suspensions for violating team rules.
The suspensions include 3 starters: take on Junior Uzebu, center Chase Behrndt and inside receiver T.J. Simmons. A number of backups are among the gamers to miss out on Saturdays video game, consisting of cornerback David Vincent-Okoli and tight ends Mike OLaughlin and T.J. Banks.
