Heres what infuriated Jerry Rice about the 49ers Week 1 loss to the Cardinals – 49ers Webzone

The San Francisco 49ers didnt kick off the 2020 season as they hoped, being up to the Arizona Cardinals 24-20 on Sunday at Levis Stadium.

Of course, you had the defenses inability to stop Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray. Rice saw something about the 49ers players that might discuss why the athletic quarterback had the ability to do so much damage with both his arms and his legs.
” I believe it was conditioning,” Rice said. “I saw a shot of (Nick) Bosa strolling off the field. He looked like he will collapse. I think it has a lot to do with those preseason video games, not having any. These guys are not where they need to be today.
” … Murray is really elusive. Hes running all over the field. Youve got defensive gamers trying to chase him, guys attempting to tackle him and all that things. So it had a lot to do with that too. And thats something thats actually hard the very first video game of the season due to the fact that we improve as we go.”
You can listen to the entire conversation with Rice below.

NFL icon Jerry Rice signed up with 95.7 The Game on Monday early morning, as he does each week, and went over the San Francisco 49ers Week 1 loss to the Arizona Cardinals. He remained in attendance at Levis Stadium on Sunday and got to witness the defeat firsthand. Rice shared some of the important things he saw that exasperated him about the Niners performance.
” I was hot the other day,” Rice stated on The Morning Show. “I wished to diminish on that field. … Yesterday, to me, I actually wanted a statement video game. I didnt get that declaration game. Im sure the Niners felt like they didnt play like they wanted to, and they left a lot on that football field.
” But now, the real test is what are they going to do this week? Are they going to make the corrections? … If I was in there looking at the movie today, I would be revolted with myself, and I would feel like I actually let the fans of the Bay Area, the fans seeing it from home, I let them down.”
One thing that annoyed Rice was enjoying the 49ers receivers. Just 4 passes between two San Francisco receivers– Kendrick Bourne and Trent Taylor– were captured during the whole game. But it wasnt just the receivers poor statistical performances or failure to develop separation that irritated the Hall of Famer.
” Something that truly, actually got me heated yesterday– and Im not going to call any names or anything like that– during the break, they were playing music,” Rice explained, “and we had certain guys dancing that hadnt done anything on the football field; that didnt have a reception or anything. Thats not the standard of the San Francisco 49ers.
” If you desire to dance, you want to be a dancer or do whatever, you should not be using that uniform. Youve got to be productive. Youve got to contribute to the team.
” Now, you score a goal, you can do whatever you desire. If you are dancing and you have not made a catch, or you havent done anything on the football field, I have an issue with that.”

Below are a number of stats and notes from Sundays video game, which were supplied by the 49ers Communications personnel.

” It just comes down to carrying out down the stretch,” Sherman reacted. “Any time you get to play, we got to knock the rust off some things, some communication things we have to do much better, but I think in general, we feel good about where we are.

The 49ers headed into the season with high expectations after completing 2019 with a 13-3 record and an NFC Championship. However the Arizona Cardinals got the 2020 season off to an unexpectedly depressing start for the 49ers Sunday with a 24-20 upset win at Levis.

According to the Elias Sports Bureau, Mosterts 76-yd. rec. TD is the 4th-longest TD recept. by a 49ers RB in franchise history and the longest since

The Arizona Cardinals went into Levis Stadium on Sunday and distressed the protecting NFC champ San Francisco 49ers 24-20. It was not the start Richard Sherman and his team desired for what they hoped would be a bounce-back season in reaction to Februarys Super Bowl defeat.

Sherman was asked after the game what the 49ers can remove from the loss, and what it may suggest for the group progressing.

” They played an excellent video game. They made some plays at the end.

This wasnt exactly what the San Francisco 49ers and their fans had in mind to start the 2020 season.
