Every member of the Yankees starting lineup had a base hit other than for designated player Giancarlo Stanton in the cleanup area. In his return from the hurt list– after spending more than a month on the sidelines with a Grade 1 left hamstring pressure– Stanton punched out two times and went 0-for-4.

NEW YORK– During the NFLs opening week, the New York Jets scored 17 points while the New York Giants acquired 16.
On Tuesday night at Yankee Stadium, the Yankees would outscore both franchises, tallying 20 runs against the Toronto Blue Jays.
New Yorks offense appeared for 16 hits and six crowning achievement in a 20-6 assault triumph over heaven Jays. The Bombers batted around in three-consecutive innings from the second through the 4th frame.
With the triumph, the Yankees leapfrogged their department rivals in the American League East, going back to 2nd place in the department with a 27-21 record.
Yankees very first baseman Luke Voit struck his Major League– leading 17th crowning achievement in a seven-run 2nd inning. He went on to go deep a second time, extending his lead atop the big-league leaderboard with 18 huge flies on the season.
In his 4th big-league start, Deivi García continued to control. He earned his second-career win, tossing seven innings of three-run ball while striking out six. Hes struck out six in each of his four outings with the Yankees this summer, pitching seven innings in back-to-back starts.

DJ LeMahieu, Aaron Hicks, Clint Frazier and Gary Sánchez each homered also in the blowout win. LeMahieus solo shot came off Torontos Santiago Espinal– a position player– on a 48.7 miles per hour pitch.
Both Voit and LeMahieu had 5 runs batted in. Sánchez had four RBI.
In his 4th big-league start, Deivi García continued to dominate. He made his second-career win, tossing 7 innings of three-run ball while setting out six. Hes struck out 6 in each of his 4 trips with the Yankees this summer season, pitching 7 innings in back-to-back starts.
