The Patriots just recently signed quarterback Cam Newton to an inexpensive 1 year agreement. What could this move perhaps mean for the 49ers?
Initially, it looks like nothing. However it might indicate the Patriots have kept the door available to trade for Jimmy Garoppolo in 2021.
