Kyler Murray will continue to get better.
But his game already is pretty impressive.
Murray had a pair of video-game touchdown runs of 14- and 21-yards (and had a 7-yard TD run called back on penalty), while adding a 4-yard touchdown pass to DeAndre Hopkins, and the Cardinals began the 2020 season 2-0 by taking out Washington, 30-15, at State Farm Stadium Sunday.
It’s the Cards’ first 2-0 start since 2015.
Murray finished with 286 yards passing and 67 yards rushing. Hopkins set a record for most catches in his first two games with a new team — 22– grabbing another eight after his 14 in the opener. Larry Fitzgerald added 7 catches himself.
The defense also shut the Football Team (1-1) out in the first half as the Cards built a 20-0 lead. The Cards had four sacks and Jordan Phillips had a strip-sack for a big turnover. Special teams also forced a fumble the Cards recovered to set up a touchdown.
