FOXBOROUGH, Mass. — The New England Patriots are trying to hand the Las Vegas Raiders their first loss of 2020 as these two squads are in the midst of a Week 3 head-to-head battle at Gillette Stadium. With the first half in the books, it’s been a sluggish start for both clubs as each has turned the ball over at least once through the first two quarters. While they volleyed field goals for the bulk of the first half, the scoring picked up in the final minute of play.
Cam Newton completed the first touchdown of the day to Rex Burkhead with just over 30 seconds to play in the half, which wound up being enough time for Derek Carr and the Raiders offense to march down the field and quickly respond with a touchdown of their own. That kept the Patriots lead at just a field goal as they departed to the locker room.
