Crusader Kings II had the finest patches, so its sequel Crusader Kings III has a lot to measure up to. Its off to a great start though, with its first upgrade today loaded with welcome changes both little and big.

When land invasions are feasible, discouraged the AI from doing marine invasions

I love this game a lot.
A couple of things in specific are worth pointing out. Anybody messing around in the dark arts can now hold the “Dark Rite” event, which hasnt been working given that launch, and secondly there are now more things for modders to play with, which is always great.
You can no longer attempt to discover dead peoples secrets
You can no longer be tortured to admit a secret you dont know
You can no longer eliminate your vassals guardians all nilly willy
You can no longer lose a friend you didnt have
You will no longer be worried out if a spouse you do not like dies
The Pope can no longer publicly accept cannibalism
Svend II of Denmark now spawns as either heterosexual or bisexual
Sly people will now wear tricky clothing
Children can no longer begin a literalist debate
