Alabama to get coach, lineman back for Texas A&M – AL.com

Alabama is expected to have a few key parts of its defense back in time for Saturdays home opener with Texas A&M.
Protective backs coach Charles Kelly was back at work Wednesday, Nick Saban said after practice, after missing out on Saturdays video game at Missouri.
“So hes great,” Saban said.
The second-year defensive backs coach was changed in Missouri by expert Mike Stoops, the former Arizona head coach. Saban wish Kelly and his household “good luck in getting well” after the 38-19 win in Columbia.

And on the protective front, Christian Barmore has practiced all week after missing the Missouri win with knee injury Saban previously explained as minor.

“Were hopeful hell be able to contribute in the game also,” Saban said Wednesday night.

The third-year sophomore had been part of the rotation on the protective line after seeing success last year in pass-rush situations. Six of his 26 deals with were behind the line of scrimmage consisting of 2 sacks and five additional quarterback pressures.
