Still, it would be better to be on the other side of the arena.

The Astros may not have space to extend out in the visitors clubhouse, they do have excellent memories there because they splashed that place in champagne after winning the 2017 World Series there. The Red Sox likewise made the visitors clubhouse reek of champagne after they won the 2018 World Series in Los Angeles.

Throughout the American League Division Series, the Astros will need to deal with the cramped boundaries of the Dodger Stadium visitors cluhbouse, while the Athletics will have the satisfaction of unwinding in the much fancier digs of the Dodgers.

” Yeah, we definitely didnt want Houston in our clubhouse,” one Dodgers staff member told the San Francisco Chronicles Susan Slusser on Sunday.

With the whole series being played on neutral ground, the Athletics get the better clubhouse as a benefit for being the higher seed. That, apparently, was a relief to the Dodgers, who have produced rather a competition with the Astros after losing to them in the 2017 World Series, then battling with them both on the field and in the media ever considering that the Astros sign-stealing scandal came to light.
