I spend a great deal of time attempting to customize every element of my laptop: pasting sticker labels on the top, separating all of my icons into folders on my desktop, and, thanks to a little technique I learned on TikTok, using my favorite GIFs as backgrounds on Google Chrome.
Its an incredibly basic procedure that uses Google Chrome feel a little more customized. All it takes is a few seconds and you go from having an uninspiring white non-background like this:
to this great GIF of Marceline carrying out a song in Adventure Time.
To customize your own Google Chrome page, heres what to do:
This is the box that appears when you right-click on an image to save. Note the name scheme in the save as field, and the “All Files” choice in the format drop-down box.
This is the customize page that opens when you right-click on the icon in the bottom right-hand corner of a new tab page.
Next, open a new Google Chrome tab page, and click the “Customize” option in the bottom right-hand corner. The icon looks like a small pen or wand.
Youll be greeted with this screen. Click “Upload from gadget,” and discover the GIF that youve saved as a PNG.
Find any GIF you wish to utilize. Right-click to bring up the drop-down menu.
After picking the “Save As” alternative, make certain to include “. PNG” after the name
Under “Format,” change it from GIF to “All Files.” It needs to look something like the image listed below.
And now, your Google Chrome page should play the GIF!
The final product!
