Detroit Red Wings basic supervisor Steve Yzerman is spending the NHLs two-day draft in self-isolation after just recently being exposed to somebody who evaluated positive for COVID-19.
Yzerman is experiencing no symptoms, and he has had multiple negative test results, the team said Tuesday, a little bit more than an hour before the very first round of the draft was set to start. Yzerman is overseeing Detroits draft process by from another location remaining in contact with his personnel.
The Red Wings have 10 choices through the seven-round draft, beginning with No. 4 total.
