Netflix has simply officially introduced the New & & Popular tab for TVs, which its been checking for quite a while now, and it includes a brand-new section implied to keep users anticipating upcoming shows and movies. The new row marked “Worth the Wait” will show members whats concerning the streaming service in the next 15 to 365 days. It also provides them a way to set a reminder for any program or film that catches their eye way ahead of their release.
Netflix already has a Coming Soon section within New & & Popular and as its own tab on mobile, but it only reveals titles arriving on the platform within the next week or 2. As Variety notes, the brand-new feature was more than likely developed to persuade customers to keep spending for a subscription even if they do not see as much anymore or even if nothing interests them at the minute. Some might find it easier to simply keep their subscriptions instead of cancelling and signing up again at a later date, after all.
