The Pittsburgh Panthers missed a PAT start overtime versus the Boston College Eagles on Saturday, and it came back to haunt them. The Panthers lost 31-30 to BC. Thats 2 video games in a row now that Pitt have actually lost by one point.
BCs WR Zay Flowers was on fire, catching 6 passes for three TDs and 162 lawns. Among the most thrilling minutes was Flowers 77-yard TD reception in the third quarter. QB Phil Jurkovec had an excellent game, too, finishing with 4 touchdowns.
QB Kenny Pickett presented a great effort for the losing side as he passed for two TDs and 266 lawns on 48 efforts in addition to rushing for one TD and 36 lawns.
The loss dropped Pitts record to 3-1. The victory bumped BCs record up to 2-1.
The Panthers are on the road again next Saturday and play versus the Miami (FL) Hurricanes at noon ET Oct. 17 at Hard Rock Stadium. As for BC, they will go up versus the Virginia Tech Hokies at 8 p.m. ET next Saturday at Lane Stadium/Worsham Field.
