Source – New England Patriots reopen facility following positive COVID-19 test Friday – ESPN

FOXBOROUGH, Mass.– The New England Patriots facility is open Saturday morning after the team canceled its Friday practice following a favorable COVID-19 test, a source informs ESPNs Field Yates.
The Patriots host the Denver Broncos on Sunday (1 p.m. ET) and they are continuing to get ready for the game to start as set up. Offensive lineman James Ferentz, who had played every breeze at center in the teams Oct. 5 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, was put on the reserve/COVID -19 list Friday.
Broncos coach Vic Fangio said that his group planned to take a trip to New England on Saturday as part of its regular itinerary.
“We are under the assumption and understanding that this video game is going to go off on time. Anything that takes place otherwise will happen when it takes place,” Fangio said Friday.
The Patriots had been set up to practice early Friday afternoon, but quickly canceled the exercise after learning of a positive COVID-19 test, a source told ESPN. The group was also awaiting confirmation on the possibility of a 2nd positive test, according to a source.
Ferentz and beginning defensive tackle Byron Cowart are the only players on the teams reserve/COVID -19 list. Quarterback Cam Newton, cornerback Stephon Gilmore and practice squad defensive deal with Bill Murray were all gotten rid of from the list this previous week, and were full individuals in the teams lone practice of the week Thursday.
Ferentz was likewise a full individual in Thursdays practice.
