‘Avengers’ Still Has To Answer A Fundamental Question About Its New Characters – Forbes

Kate Bishop
Avengers
So, we now understand that Avengers has actually delayed the release of its very first post-launch character, Kate Bishop, out of late October into a long time in November (please, please be previously next-gen launch week).

I dont begrudge them that. Theres a lot to be fixed with the game and I understand theyre working hard on that things. I am utilizing my Doctor Strange-like powers to see into a possible future where a problem with these brand-new characters crops up.

Particularly, Crystal Dynamics has yet to describe something that seems quite clear about not just the next 2 characters, but allegedly a lot more to come.

How is Kate Bishop going to be meaningfully different from Hawkeye, considered that both are archers?

Its not just this set. Avengers appears like its going to be doing a sort of “echo fighter” thing out of Smash Bros. where you have comparable characters that are efficiently various versions of each other. We have seen a leaked, really long list of prospective upcoming characters the video game is thinking about, with a lot of potential echo pairings therein. Kate and Hawkeye we have:

Iron Man– War Machine
Black Widow– Mockingbird
Captain Marvel– Mar-Vell

And then others that could be echo-ish pairings

We have actually seen a dripped, really long list of potential upcoming characters the video game is thinking about, with a lot of prospective echo pairings in there. In Avengers, you have to level characters to 50 to open their full relocation set, then you have to gear them up to 150 power, which takes a huge amount of farming and upgrade materials and even time-gated currency like Polychoron for artifacts. Is none of that shared in between these echo characters? I dont mind the presence of echo characters, but I have played this game a metric lot and only simply got my 4th character above 145.

In Smash Bros. you simply get an echo fighter and have fun with them. In Avengers, you need to level characters to 50 to open their full move set, then you need to gear them up to 150 power, which takes a huge amount of farming and upgrade products and even time-gated currency like Polychoron for artifacts. Is none of that shared between these echo characters? I can not imagine investing a massive amount of time getting Kate Bishop to 50/150, only to have Hawkeye arrive a month later on and he has like, two different types of arrows, however I still have to begin the procedure all over once again.

I do not mind the existence of echo characters, but I have played this game a metric heap and only just got my 4th character above 145. That procedure for each character needs to come method, way down in terms of time financial investment if the idea is actually to have a lots or more heroes show up over time, including some that are mirrors of each other.

Hulk– She-Hulk
Captain America– Winter Soldier
Ant-Man– Wasp (though Wasp can fly).

So thats the first concern the game needs to answer, how these move sets will differ among the echoes. But my question is more based on progress: leveling and gear.

The idea is for many of these characters, if they are “echo fighters” they would most likely share relocation sets, albeit possibly with some tweaks. As in, you cant really have War Machine without his Gatling Gun, however will he also have Iron Mans repulsors and rockets?
