News broke early Friday afternoon that Purdue’s star receiver will not suit up for the Boilermakers tomorrow in their season opener against Iowa. Mike Carmin of Journal & Courier broke the news first via Twitter.

There is no word on what the situation was that is forcing Moore out of this contest at this time. There were rumors earlier this week regarding an injury that Rondale had sustained, but nothing was confirmed. It is also not out of the question that he possibly tested positive for Covid-19 along with the Boilermaker’s fearless leader coach Jeff Brohm.
The Boilermakers are also without Jackson Anthrop indefinitely after he injured his shoulder and subsequently had surgery.
The good news for the program is that Purdue is flushed with talent at the wide receiver position with the likes of David Bell, Ahmad Anderson, Milton Wright, and more. Look for young receivers such as Mershawn Rice, Marcellus Moore, and TJ Sheffield to have expanded roles tomorrow as well.
Hopefully, Rondale will be able to get back on the field sooner rather than later and the public can get word on what his situation currently is.
