The first half of the Florida-Missouri ended in a brawl thanks to a late hit from Tigers defensive lineman Trajan Jeffcoat.
As you can see in the video below, Trask had thrown an end-of-half Hail Mary when Jeffcoat leveled a late hit. The cheap shot did not go over well with Gators players, and a fight broke out resulting in the ejection of multiple players. All players on both teams have also been issued unsportsmanlike conduct penalties. If any player gets another one of those penalties, they will also be ejected.
The game is airing on SEC Network Alternate. SEC Network analyst and former Florida wide receiver Chris Doering came to the defense of the Florida offensive linemen “who defended their quarterback.” Gene Chizik shared that he didn’t feel the hit on Trask was dirty.
