Steve Cohen has cleaned out the Mets’ front office, but Luis Rojas is probably staying.
Returning team president Sandy Alderson said Tuesday it’s “very likely” Rojas will remain the Mets’ manager for the 2021 MLB season.
Alderson did say he “left the door slightly ajar” out of respect for the process of filling the front-office vacancies. Alderson said he has spoken to Rojas multiple times since Friday.
Brodie Van Wagenen was let go as general manager after Cohen’s Mets deal closed on Friday. Several other front-office members, including Omar Minaya, were also let go.
